Leigh Auton Director Bio

Leigh brings a sound understanding of the role of governance in organisations. This is a portfolio area he has been developing since 2008 when he first accepted a position on the Board of the Ngapuhi Asset Holding Company. Prior to 2008, Leigh was involved in the establishment and management of a number of Council Controlled Organisations, including the appointment and monitoring of their Boards. He is a Chartered member of the Institute of Directors and is passionate about the need for good governance in order to deliver sound organisational performance. He is strong in his belief that diversity around the Board table makes for good decision making. Leigh’s own executive experience, combined with governance in the public and private sectors, gives him good insight into what it takes to create a successful enterprise.
